I’m a 20 year old business student with drive, passion for life, and I’m always up for a challenge. I also love to meet new people!
I grew up in small-town Nebraska; I have work ethic, common sense, and of course know that nothing beats game day at Memorial Stadium. I first got involved in business when my brother and I started a lawn service company in elementary and middle school; I’ve always know business is where I want to be.
Today I’m a sophomore student studying finance, marketing, and accounting at Drake University. I write about college and career issues and am involved in student organizations including American Marketing Association and Delta Sigma Pi professional fraternity. I’m also working at Principal Financial Group as a finance/marketing intern for Principal Global Investors. In this position I get to help market financial products and am getting the inside scoop on how financial services work.
I haven’t had the chance to travel too much, but I lived in Granada, Spain for a summer, visited Morocco and London, and also plan to do some backpacking before my college career is over. If I’m not working or at school I can usually be found hitting around on a tennis court, reading, or hanging out with my friends and I have a couple side projects in the Des Moines community going on.
